Laurie Mitchell

Laurie Mitchell is the Senior Director of Partner Marketing at Wasabi and is driving the launch and growth of the Wasabi Partner Network including marketing to, with and through partners including managed and cloud service providers, system integrators, and technology alliances who integrate or bundle Wasabi with their solutions. Laurie is a successful alliance and channel program leader who has over 20 years of experience creating and managing programs from the ground up for scale and growth at a number of startups as well as evolving programs to meet the needs of a growing business in larger companies. Prior to Wasabi Laurie came from PTC where she led the evolution of the PTC Partner Network as the Senior Director of Partner Programs.

Jennifer Kula serves as the VP of Alliances and Channels at Wasabi driving Wasabi’s global strategy and go to market activities with key technology alliance and system integration partners as well as driving development of North America managed and cloud services providers. In addition to being honored as a Women of the Channel, she has been named to the list of 2019 Power 100, an elite subset of its prestigious Women of the Channel list. The Power 100 belong to an exclusive group of the overall list: women whose leadership and vision are key drivers of their companies’ success and have had significant influence to move the entire IT channel forward.

Jennifer has over twenty years of professional experience in the high-tech industry creating, developing and executing partner strategies for both products and solutions. She has done extensive sell through and sell with work across cloud-based ecosystems, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as well. She joins Wasabi from Oracle where she was the Senior Director of Global World Wide Alliances.

Wasabi plans to pick-up substantial sales momentum in 2019 through its growing ecosystem of technology alliance and reseller partners including MSPs, CSPs and System Integrators. To accomplish this Jennifer and Laurie launched Wasabi’s first ever resale program in April this year to increase access to Wasabi’s Hot Cloud Storage. In addition, they are developing a solution-based ecosystem of complementary vendors in Data Management, Back-up, Disaster Recovery, Archiving, IoT, AI/ML, Big Data Analytics and more to allow Wasabi’s MSP and CSP partners to go to market with complete application and storage-based offerings that appeal to end users looking for these solutions as a service.

Through the new program, partners can dramatically improve their economics by offering best-of-breed cloud storage with the opportunity to earn incentives, leverage sales and technical enablement, and access go-to-market resources. Wasabi’s disruptive pricing model is simple and predictable, featuring no tiers and no fees for egress or API requests. The Wasabi Partner Network program puts partners in control of cumulative revenue streams with the industry’s best price and performance model. It is a natural fit to bundle as part of other solutions and has already been verified with over 200 applications that power use cases for data backup, archiving, disaster recovery, surveillance, videos and media, research data and more.

“CRN’s 2019 Women of the Channel list honors influential leaders who are accelerating channel growth through mutually-beneficial partnerships, incredible leadership, strategic vision, and unique contributions in their field,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “This accomplished group of leaders is driving channel success and we are proud to honor their achievements.”

“The Wasabi Partner Network Program which already boasts over 800 MSPs and over 200 technology applications is a key contributor to Wasabi’s continued growth. Our ability to go to market with these and future partners can be attributed to the passion and success that both Jennifer and Laurie bring to the team. They should be proud to be named to this prestigious list,” shares David Friend, CEO of Wasabi.

The 2019 Women of the Channel and Power 100 lists will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and online at
