Software Infrastructure Engineer
Wasabi's rapidly-growing globally distributed cloud storage platform demands 100% uptime.
Doing that requires deployment automation, platform health/performance monitoring and alerting, first class software, and use of the best open source tools out there.
Due to our rapid rate of growth we need to find a first-class infrastructure engineer who will help us continue to close the gap to the current cloud storage leaders.
You will refine our existing infrastructure services and generate new ideas and implementations to help us maintain and improve our platform.
You are accomplished in a Linux environment, and familiar with shell scripting
What you’ll do
You will be working in a Linux environment, using Ansible and Ansible Tower for deployment. You’ll have some familiarity with configuration and deployment of containerized services (as Docker containers and Swarm services), including but not limited to Etcd, Hashicorp Vault, Elastic Search, Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
Or you will be able to demonstrate you can learn quickly – no-one’s expected to know all there is.
You will be building on our existing rolling upgrade strategies and will have the opportunity to help shape a solution for further virtualizing parts of our platform.
The infrastructure team also provide horizontal frameworks to the other engineering teams. You’ll have the opportunity to extend and enhance these layers – all written in Go.
You will be part of a small, but influential, team working as a peer with the rest of our software engineers.
Come and work with us as we continue scaling Wasabi out to the multi-exabyte cloud storage leader we aim to be.
