The Cyber Security & Cloud Expo Europe 2019 will host two days of top level discussion around cyber security and the cloud, and the impact they are having on industries including energy, financial services, healthcare and more.

Wasabi is Focused on Security

Cyber security is a key focus for Wasabi. As a public cloud storage provider, we take security seriously at every level of our operations, and are constantly evaluating and implementing security processes, features and practices to ensure that we’re doing everything we can to provide a strong, pro-active security stance for our cloud storage services.

For example, we were the first public cloud storage provider to introduce “immutable buckets” to make it impossible for your data to be erased before the policy date you’ve set expires for specific data. Immutability provides protection of data from accidental or malicious destruction or alteration, including insiders or attacks such as ransomware. Deletion/alteration is even prevented by superusers like your admin or Wasabi personnel, to ensure that even the most trusted users and applications can’t destroy valuable data.

Our partnership and co-location with Equinix in Amsterdam as our first datacenter location serving Europe is another testament to our security focus. Equinix’s extensive expertise in building and operating world class datacenters was a key decision of us in choosing our first entry point directly into the European market. In addition to Equinix’s highly secure colocation facilities for Wasabi’s infrastructure in Europe, Equinix provides the ability for joint customers to leverage Equinix’s Cloud Fabric Exchange to use a private, high-speed interconnect network to access Wasabi. This provides further security, layered on top of Wasabi’s existing encrypted transmissions and encrypted data at rest, bypassing the public Internet for improved security and performance.

And don’t miss the keynote of The Bottomless Cloud, with Dave Friend, CEO and Co-founder of Wasabi.
